Loughmourne Industrial Units, located just outside Carrickfergus, was set up by promoter Brendan McIlroy in order to generate additional income for the family farm. After researching market demand for rental accommodation, Brendan applied for funding to set up two additional units for rental and was awarded grant assistance of £20,000 to erect a new building and develop an area for car parking.
