Cornucopia4u
- Awardee: Jennifer Shaw
- Location: Crumlin
- Council: Antrim
- Grant: £1,920 (Business Exploration & Training) £3,194.97 (Micro Business Development)
Jennifer Shaw’s love for jewellery and complimentary therapies inspired her to set up her own business making holistic jewellery. Cornucopia4u specialises in jewellery pieces using a combination of crystals and semi precious stones, such as amethyst, rose quartz and natural materials and traditional beads and findings. Jennifer accepts custom commissions, creating bridal jewellery or something unique for that special occasion and now runs jewellery parties, combining a girls’ night in with showcasing her designs.
To date, Cornucopia4u has been awarded funding to source new materials, to allow Jennifer to market her jewellery at craft fairs and to set up a website to display and sell her products. Jennifer is also undergoing training in crystal and colour therapies and has carried out research visits to identify raw material suppliers.
"I have been able to change a dream into a rewarding small business. The Programme was realistic about the demands that many women face balancing business and family commitments and provides encouragement and support when it's most needed."
