CMG began trading in 2007 to provide specialist grinding services to the engineering industry and to refurbish and supply used and new engineering machinery. Proprietor Arthur Bell has a wealth of experience in the engineering business.
The main focus of the business is grinding works and as the workload increased project promoter, Arthur Bell, recognised the need purchase new equipment to expand cylindrical grinding facilities to existing and potential new customers.
CMG was awarded funding under the Rural Development Programme to purchase equipment in order to increase the range of services offered by the business and diversify into the specialist grinding market. The business was also awarded funding to assist with the marketing needs of the business. This allowed GMC to invest in magnetic branding signs for vehicles used in the business and to produce flyers and promotional materials.
"Funding under the Rural Development Programme has provided my business with the opportunity to purchase new machinery to expand our services and increase our capacity. This funding will help sustain existing employment and will create future employment opportunities in the rural area of Carrickfergus."
