Diversification into non-agricultural activities
Support for Farm Diversification
Aim: To provide support for farmers and members of farm families to diversify into non-agricultural activities in order to:
- Generate additional income
- Increase sustainability of the farm business
- Create additional employment.
To be classed as a member of a farm family, the head of the household should work 10 hours or more per week on the family farm.

Activities which may be eligible for support under this Measure include:
- Light engineering & manufacturing
- Equestrian services
- Craft businesses
- Tourism & leisure services
- Innovative technologies
- Recycling facilities
- Investment in renewable energy technologies & energy reduction techniques, as part of an overall project.

Please note that the maximum grant aid towards marketing activities is £5,000. If your project includes a marketing element, the total maximum grant remains £50,000.
