RDP In Action Guide Launched
What does Rural Development look like? Check out RDP In Action to find out!
Rural Network NI has just launched a new guide which highlights the range of activities which are being supported through the NI RDP 2007-2013.
Worth over £500million to the region, the NIRDP is designed to protect and enhance the rural environment and contribute to the development of rural businesses and thriving rural communities.
The new \'RDP in Action\' guide, published by the Rural Network NI includes a range of projects and initiatives which have been implemented under the themes of Farming & Food, Environment & Countryside and Rural Life.
Comprising 50 projects which have been implemented under the current programme it also includes examples of how rural development funding is supporting rural life in the south of Ireland, Britain and Europe.
Speaking at the launch of the publication Minister O\'Neill commented: \"RDP in Action showcases how rural development funding is making a difference across the north. The region is brimming with life, activity, fresh ideas, new ventures and entrepreneurs of all ages and genders. The projects presented range from specialist woodcraft and baby food to recycling, planting native woodland and allotments to picture framing and organic pig production. The guide is a testament to the success of the programme so far.\"
